For Geo engineering because...
- Its thought of as a quick fix and with geo-engineering we might be able to restore the earth back to what it was during pre-industrial times.
- If we don't do anything we have the consequences of global warming to face.
- Environmentalist say that we are just masking the problem with Geo-engineering instead of actually fixing it. and people won't try to be Eco friendly and just rely solely on this technology.
- Geo-engineering doesn't completely solve the problem, for example when we take carbon out of the atmosphere it doesn't change the oceans acidity
- Developing countries are worried that Geo-engineering devices could be used as war weapons by 1st world military. They fear that countries with the technology to essentially change the weather will be able to create and control natural disasters like floods, cyclones, droughts, earthquakes etc.
- Most of these projects are very expensive
- Some scientists are worried over the fact that these projects could cause catastrophic harm like...
- blue skies turning white
- oceans turning green
- irreversible undesirable weather change
- unpredictable/unstable flooding, droughts, volcanic eruptions, El Ninos
- the biggest concern here is that we don't know exactly what the side effects of these projects could be
Before turning to geo-engineering we should do everything we can to reduce our carbon footprints.
- cut down our use of fossil fuels
- carpool
- use low flow appliances
- turn of lights
- lower thermostats
- recycle
- go organic
- plant real trees
- use public transit
- walk
All in all, with or against the proposals of Geo engineering, both sides deem that it should be a last resort effort and that more research is needed. However I feel like geo-engineering is becoming more and more supported as global warming is becoming a bigger issue. Now research is being funded by wealthy individuals like Sir Richard Branson, Murray Edwards,Niklas Zennström, and Bill Gates[16]."At the moment it's almost like talking about how we could stop world war two with an atomic bomb, but we haven't done the research to develop nuclear fission."

I am a visual seeker so I would suggest adding another visual to this page, but definitely not critical, just a style suggestion!

Good informative page, my only critique might be to change the look a little, as with the poster above, maybe add an image or figure or something. Also you could adjust the font or size of some the writing to make them into headers for each set of bulletins.

This is a good page but i would try to get in a little more depth here too, the ideas are great but some supporting information would go alot further.

Overall, I think your blog had really interesting information. I suggest you expand on your background information a little more. Explain the mechanism of each proposed geoengineering concept in more depth, and on pages such as this one, provide explanations for concern. For example, explain how geoengineering devices can cause catastrophic harm or become weaponized. I think these topics are really fascinating and I'd love to learn more about it!
